Bollix 0.7b1 Released

8 September 2004, 0000Z

This is the first general release of Bollix, a word game based on a possibly familiar real-life game. The only key feature that's missing is network play.

Bollix has a couple unique elements that make it more realistic. It features "dice" with the same letter distribution as the real game, which prevents impossible boards from appearing. It also has a lexicon containing over 260,000 words, so it's unlikely you'll be denied a word that you know is real.

If you think you can handle it, Bollix will tell you what the highest possible score was at the end of each game, and what percentage of that score you achieved. If you decide to take advantage of this, keep in mind that 30% is really, really good.
